The values that Rajashree tries to instill in all its students, right from LKG to the upper section of the school, are unique as they are varied. Commencing right from the LKG stage, pupils are exposed to a variety of educative experiences, which include but are not limited to, singing of patriotic songs, nursery rhymes and meaningful recitations that convey a character building ideology.
This is also reflected in the fact that the school has been divided into four Houses, i.e., Ganga, Yamuna, Krishna and Kaveri, the four great rivers of India.
The underlining factor at Rajashree is to combine a healthy mix of both academics and extra-curricular activities in a harmonious balance that promotes the development of a well grounded individual, possessing not only an ideal blend of academic achievements but exposure in other ‘outside the classroom' disciplines as well, suited for today's competitive society and challenging environment. Rajashree does not accord undue or overdue importance to either academic or extra-curricular achievements per se, but seeks that elusive balance of the two. This, the institution believes, is the foundation for the development of a well-balanced member of society.
Rajashree fully endorses the fact that each and every child is talented in one manner or the other, however, the staff at Rajashree have taken it on themselves to make an attempt to identify that potential or hidden talent and bring it out to the forefront, whether it be outside or inside the classroom.
To this effect, students are not overburdened with excessive and superfluous homework, simply for the sake of providing homework, but only that which the teachers deem is adequate. Moreover, teachers pay special attention to students who may be facing difficulty in a particular subject. Homework at Rajashree is not a burden on the students, but rather, a focused approach that will be beneficial to the students in their quest for academic excellence and success.
Adequate emphasis has been given to extra-curricular activities so that students are given an opportunity to first identify and then develop and inculcate their creative talents.
In order to achieve this healthy mix, Rajashree has formed a variety of clubs and hobby options, providing exposure to a diverse range of extra curricular activities which have been formed keeping in mind the students interests and inclinations. Teachers from their perspective, always keep an eye open seeking the latent and possible unidentified talent in a student towards a particular discipline and lend a supportive hand in guiding the students and parents, and most importantly, guiding the student in the right direction.
The options available for the students are;
1. Philately, Numismatics and Artifacts Club
2. Science Club
3. Literary Club
4. Nature Club
5. Social Service Club
6. Art & Craft Club
7. Dramatics Club
8. Music Club
9. Sports Club
10. Cookery Club
11. IT Club
Moreover, in addition to these clubs, which are supervised by competent teachers, within the campus at the school, various options are available for the students to develop their interest in hobbies as well. These include;
- Karate
- Yoga
- Dance
- Violin
- Guitar
- Tabala
- Organ
- Chess
These classes are conducted by external teachers, (credentials are verified internally by the Management Committee), within the school campus itself based on the timetable allotted to each of the disciplines. Students and parents are free to select any of the disciplines that may be of interest to them and their children.
Teachers also play, and are more than willing to play an important role here, in the sense that they would be in a position to discuss with the parent's point of view as to what the hidden potential or talent would be, of the student, in a particular discipline.
The staff at Rajashree are not oblivious from the parents viewpoint. They understand that the importance lies not only in a student that excels in academics, but the development of an‘all round character', which in today's competitive world, has acquired a level of importance. Thus, both areas towards overall development deserve equal and unbiased attention, which when cemented at an early stage must surely bear fruit during the latter stages of academic life.
