TESTS, EXAMINATIONS AND PROMOTION
Classes I to III
Classes I to III will have a continuous and comprehensive evaluation throughout the year.
Classes IV to XII
Classes IV to XII will have an Evaluation Test conducted at the end of every month. There will be a term end examination in September and December for all classes followed by an Annual examination for classes IX and XI in February, and for classes IV to VIII in March. Classes X & XII will have Model Examination in January and February and Board Examination in March.

b) Subject Enrichment Activities: These are subject – specific activities aimed at enhancing the understanding and skills of the students. These activities will be carried out throughout the term, however, they will be evaluated at the term-end.
i) Languages: Aimed at equipping the learners to develop effective listening and speaking skills.
ii) Mathematics: The concept of Mathematics Laboratory has been introduced by the Board in its affiliated schools with the objective of:
- Making teaching and learning of the subject interactive, participatory, fun filling and joyful from primary stage of schooling.
- Strengthening the learning of Mathematical concepts through concrete materials and hands on experiences.
- Relating classroom learning to real life situation and discourage rote and mechanical learning.
iii) Science: Practical work and activities in science will be undertaken as suggested by the NCERT syllabus and text books.
iv) Social Science: Map or the project work will be undertaken as suggested by the NCERT syllabus and Text Book.
C. Portfolio: A portfolio is a purposeful collection of intentionally chosen student’s work representing a selection of performances that is assembled over time and describes the learner’s efforts, progress, growth and achievement in key areas of learning outcomes. It simply becomes a catalogue of student’s exemplary work in the related areas. It is a tool for assessing a variety of skills other than the traditional written paper and pencil tests.

2) Co-Scholastic Activities a) (Classes VI – VIII): For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities in the following areas be carried out by the teachers and will be graded term – wise on a 3-point grading scale (A = Outstanding, B = Very Good and C = Fair). The aspect of regularity, sincere participation, output and teamwork be the generic criteria for grading in the following co-scholastic activities.
i) Work Education – Work Education refers to skill – based activities resulting in goods or services useful to the community.
ii) Art Education (Visual & Performing Art)
iii) Health and Physical Education (Sports/Material Arts / Yoga / NCC etc.)
Discipline (Classes VI – VIII): The students will also be assessed for the discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others. Grading on Discipline will be done term wise on a 3-point grading scale. (A = outstanding, B = Very Good and C = Fair)
a) Classes IX & X: In classes IX & X the co-scholastic activities will be graded on a 5-point grading scale (A-E)
Promotion
1. Promotion of students is based on the all-round performance of the child.
2. Students will not be given any supplementary test or examination due to absence for any reason.
3. Result declared at the end of the year is final in all cases and will not be reconsidered under any circumstance.
4. Students will not be permitted to appear for the exams unless all the fees are paid upto date
5. Report cards will be issued only on the date mentioned in the diary.
REMEDIAL COACHING
This is a measure to better the performance of students who learn at a pace different from that of the remaining class. Third Saturday of every month is set aside for remedial coaching from 9 am to 1 pm.
